The Difference Between Infomation and Article Marketing
Information is the key to success in any endeavor you undertake, whether that be business, sports, politics, education, etc. So it should come as no surprise that the dictionary definition of the word is “The act or process of gathering or relating together data that is useful or important.” In other words, information is the fuel that drives you forward. Without information you would be right back where you started, in a state of pure ignorance.
For example, you are researching an article on new ways to earn money online. You come across a link to an infomation site. You click on the link, and there you find lots of interesting information. But, because you lack the knowledge to really understand what you read and what you are reading doesn’t mean that you dismiss the infomation site as being irrelevant or worthless. You may even be able to tell the story behind the piece of infomation or the author’s motivation for writing the piece.
We often make the mistake of jumping to conclusions based on a single piece of information. We get so caught up in getting information to the point of ignoring other sources of information. In this case, jumping to conclusions is understandable.
But the fact remains that infomation, by definition, is a means of gathering information. So when someone comes up with an idea for an article or book, they are not necessarily displaying their prowess in information technology. They could very well be an IT professional with years of experience in business networking. It doesn’t matter how many articles on web design you read or how many books on internet marketing you read – if the information displayed isn’t useful, it is not infomation. It is irrelevant and it doesn’t serve you.
On the other hand, if the article is well-written, presented well, holds your interest, and is a well-thought out piece – that person is demonstrating their skill in information technology. The writer is demonstrating their understanding of what the reader will find useful. They are not just pulling information out of thin air. They have done their homework and they know what the reader will find valuable.
When you want to attract business to your website, the best thing that you can do is to provide informative articles. When you take the time to write articles that are well-written, informative, and interesting, you will have visitors hanging on your website like anything. And, if they enjoy your writing and they get value out of what you have to say, you will be more likely to attract repeat visitors. That’s what is important with infomation – having the ability to deliver value to your readers.
